Penguin BOBO's Kids' Club

The next generation is close to our hearts

BOBO, the funny penguin, is there to help all the kids and looks forward to teaching them how to ski in a playful way that’s full of fun. With his help, it’s not hard at all!

Where is BOBO the penguin from?

BOBO is an extraordinary penguin: He loves winter, the mountains, the snow—and skiing most of all! He loves being outdoors best of all; only when it gets really bitterly cold does he hide away in the warm living room.

Since BOBO the penguin loves spending time with kids, he’s the perfect companion at our ski school. His favorite food? Fish—and a scoop of ice cream for dessert! And if he ever falls over? That’s when the ski penguin shows his mettle: he shakes the snow off his feathers, gets back up, and keeps going!

BOBO's Adventures

BOBO comes from the South Pole, but unfortunately, he was swept away from land on an ice floe. All by himself, he set off on an adventure around the globe, and he kept meeting new people along the way—a seagull at the equator, an ice cream vendor in Italy, a duck in the mountains, and many more. Eventually, BOBO arrived in the mountains and learned to ski.

Kids' Area - First Steps on Skis

Right next to the Milolift (N3) is our lovingly designed Kinderland—a safely laid-out beginner’s area in the Silvretta Ski Arena.

Facilities:

  • Covered magic carpet
  • Carousel
  • Rest area
  • Additional child-friendly aids

Our location guarantees parents an unforgettable day of skiing while still keeping the distance to Kinderland short. You don’t even have to leave the ski area to get there.

The Level System: Ten Steps to Safe Driving

From the first steps in the kids' area to confident skiing on blue runs: BOBO's level system guides every child step by step. Parents can even assess their child's skill level in advance using a tutorial video—which saves time and cuts down on wait times at the resort.

Good to Know

Preliminary Placement by Parents:

  • With the help of instructional videos, parents can place their children in the appropriate skill group even before the course begins.

Benefits:

  • Makes it easier to organize group assignments
  • Makes on-site placement more efficient
  • Saves time and reduces wait times

Additional guidance:

  • Groups are often organized based on the children’s ages as well.
BOBO Bambini & Group 1
First Skiing Experiences

Once the children:

have
gotten used to their skis, mastered
the snowplow, and can make their first turns on their own

… they move on to the Milolift (saddle lift) right next door.

BOBO Group 2
Play-Based Learning on the Milolift

The Milolift is a platter lift where children make their first short runs.

Children learn:

how to stop
on command, how to string
together several turns, how to shift
their weight to the outside ski, and how to follow a given line

BOBO Group 3
Taking to the slopes

Requirements:

Confident skiing on the Milolift
; controlled braking
; skiing on slopes with varying turn radii

First Run—Run 62 (Flimsattel Run):
The easiest run starting from Alp Trida
. Very long, so instructors must assess conditions carefully

After successfully completing this run, the children are ready for other blue runs.
