How to Get to Samnaun Safely and Stress-Free

There are three ways to get to Samnaun: by car through Switzerland, through Austria, or conveniently by train.

By car:

If you’re traveling from Switzerland, take the Engadinstrasse. In winter, use the Vereina car ferry. A tip: Make sure to have a valid travel document with you at the border in Martina.

Coming from Austria or Germany? Then take the A12 Inntalautobahn via Landeck to Samnaun. The Reschenstrasse will take you as far as Pfunds, and from there, continue on via Spiss.

By train: convenient and fast

The Vereina Line connects Klosters and Lavin in the Lower Engadine. In just 18 minutes, the train takes you through the 19-kilometer-long Vereina Tunnel, saving you up to two hours.
