Visit to the Heidelberg Hut

Silence, Scenic Views, and the Magic of Mountain Huts in the Fimbatal Valley

In the mood for a mountain adventure with a view? The trip to the Heidelberger Hütte combines winter sports with a cozy break in a rustic atmosphere!

At the end of the idyllic Fimba Valley, the historic Heidelberger Hütte awaits at 2,264 meters. It’s a unique place to experience the tranquility of the mountains, snow-covered landscapes, and true relaxation.

In the rustic dining room or on the sunny terrace, you can enjoy regional specialties, a hearty lunch, or sweet treats—all accompanied by authentic mountain lodge charm.

The Trail to the Cabin—Two Options to Choose From

Take the aerial tram to Piz Val Gronda at 2,812 meters—at the top, a panoramic view of numerous 3,000-meter peaks awaits you. From there, a varied freeride or firn run leads down to the hut.

If you’d prefer a more leisurely option, order the Skidoo taxi—a comfortable ride from the Gampenbahn valley station directly to the hut.

Good to know:
  • Not included in the price: equipment, snowmobile taxi, and lunch
  • Safety equipment is mandatory for off-piste skiing: avalanche transceiver, avalanche shovel, and probe per person
